I’m Alex McDonald, a Queensland Approved Person engineer providing professional certification for light and heavy vehicle modifications for all modification codes under the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).
With more than 20 years of engineering and Defence experience, I’ve managed complex vehicle and system programs, from military fleets to high-performance off-road builds. I combine deep technical knowledge with a practical, customer-first approach. I help drivers, workshops, and fleet owners get their modifications approved efficiently and correctly the first time.
I founded Approved Mods to make the certification process clear, professional, and fast.
